In this article, we highlight the 50 most affordable Masters in Curriculum and Instruction online degree programs for 2015.

A graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction opens doors for teachers and educators who want to further their career goals. While most teachers are already committed to the classroom, earning a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction provides opportunities for certifications, especially in specialized areas of education. Graduate students in education, mostly working teachers, find that online programs provide the flexible scheduling needed to work while attending school.

We created our ranking of the 50 most affordable online masters in curriculum and instruction degree programs based on information collected from National Center for Education Statistics’ College Navigator. We examined 146 schools offering advanced degrees in Curriculum and Instruction. Many of the schools offered Master’s programs in Education in combination with a Curriculum and Instruction option, while others offered Master’s of Arts or Science degrees. Interestingly, the majority of the schools listed below are designed for working teachers, or those with at least some level of classroom teaching experience.

All schools listed below deliver online or distance learning programs in Curriculum and Instruction. The schools are listed in order of affordability, with the least expensive program at #1. Tuition rates and fees were combined, and reflect the most current rate for in-state graduate tuition. While the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences – National Center for Education Statistics – College Navigator, publishes the most current graduate tuition rate as reported by the institution, the exact dollar amount is subject to change. It is important to contact the school’s graduate program directly to determine the most current tuition rate and required fees.
