It operated under the name of the College of Hawaii for several decades and did not become a full university until Hawaii became a state. Bachelor of Education Blended: Early Childhood & SPED

The University of Hawaii at Manoa offers a Bachelor of Education Blended program in both early childhood and SPED for those who want to work with younger children who suffer from learning disabilities and other impairments. The program ranks as one of the best accredited education degree programs in Hawaii for special ed teachers. It prepares students for working with kids in preschools up to those in the third grade. Graduates can then take a licensing exam and apply for a teaching certificate to work as a teacher in the state. This program starts every year during the fall semester, and full-time students usually graduate within four years. Designed for those who want to work with traditional elementary school students, this program also prepares teachers for working with children in preschool or kindergarten. You’ll take courses on evidence-based practice that teach you how to use research and evidence to determine how to teach your students. The program also includes courses on data-based decision making, which shows you how to use all the information available to you when making decisions relating to the education of your students. You must take a minimum of 120 credits of courses, which will include both education classes and general ed courses. Master of Education in Early Childhood Education
