Completing an accredited education degree program in Wisconsin allows individuals to be eligible to enter the popular field of education. University of Wisconsin Stout
School of Education
The School of Education offers nine bachelor’s, four master’s, one specialist, and one doctoral degree programs in addition to one post-baccalaureate certificate program. The school, which was founded in 1891, focuses on providing students with hands-on teaching experiences and engaging students from the beginning of their educational programs. The school boasts a job placement rate of 99 percent for teaching majors, offers small class sizes, and provides students with opportunities to participate in study abroad experiences as well as the opportunity to participate in the National Student Exchange program.
B.S. Early Childhood Education
This accredited education degree program in Wisconsin is intended for students interested in teaching children from the ages of birth through the third grade. The program requires 120 credit hours that are obtained in a small classroom setting. Students complete 250 hours of hands-on experiences in the classroom prior to beginning the required student teaching experiences. The university houses a Child and Family Study Center where five early childhood classrooms provide students with a convenient setting to obtain the required field experience hours. Students can add on an early childhood special education certification by taking five additional courses and completing an extra student teaching experience or a middle childhood certification by completing five additional courses.
