Grambling State University
College of Education
The College of Education at Grambling State University consists of three different departments that provide undergraduate and graduate training in four areas of study: curriculum and instruction, sports and leisure studies, kinesiology, and educational leadership. The Department of Educational Leadership currently offers four exceptional degree programs, and they are a Master of Science in Developmental Education program, a Doctor of Education in Developmental Education program, a Post Masters Certificate in Developmental Education program, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership degree program.
Master of Education in Educational Leadership
The Master of Education in Educational Leadership degree program offered by Grambling State University’s College of Education is a 36 to 39 credit hour program that can be completed within about three school semesters. Examples of the types of courses that students will encounter in this program include Visionary Leadership, School Management, Curriculum Design and Development, Using Research to Lead Change, and Evaluating Program Effectiveness. Students who think that they may be interested in earning this degree must submit three professional letters of recommendation, have at least a 2.5 overall GPA, and have a bachelor degree in a similar area.

School of Education
The School of Education located at Louisiana College prepares students for positions as professional educators who can adapt to an ever-changing learning environment. Small classes help to ensure student success by providing personal attention and individualized instruction. Current areas of study provided by the School of Education include business education, educational leadership, early childhood education, elementary education, special education, middle school education, physical education, vocal education, and art education.
Master of Education in Educational Leadership
The Master of Education in Educational Leadership degree program provided by Louisiana College’s School of Education is what is known as a hybrid program. And what this means is that some of the program’s requirements can be completed online. This 36 credit hour program is available to any students who have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education facility and who have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA. Graduates of this program are typically individuals who aspire to be leaders in the field of education. Scholarships and financial aid are available for students who need assistance with their tuition and other school-related expenses.

LSUS Online
Aspiring educational leaders who, for one reason or another, do not have time to attend traditional on-campus courses may want to consider attending Louisiana State University in Shreveport Online. LSUS Online offers a large variety of bachelor and master degree programs that can be completed by students fully online. Just some of the programs currently offered by LSUS Online include programs in the areas of general studies, marketing, management and administration, data analytics, mass communications, hospitality management, human resources, curriculum and instruction, and educational leadership.
Master of Education in Educational Leadership

The College of Human Sciences and Education
The College of Human Sciences and Education at Louisiana State University and A&M College offers a broad range of undergraduate, graduate, certificate, and online programs in many different areas of interest. The Graduate School

McNeese State University
The William J. Dore Sr. School of Graduate Studies
McNeese State University’s William J. Dore Sr. School of Graduate Studies was named after William J. Dore Sr., a former student of the university who eventually became the founder and CEO of Global Industries. There are currently more than 50 programs offered in the School of Graduate Studies, and areas of study include business administration, applied behavior analysis, creative writing, elementary and secondary education, academically gifted education, special education, school counseling, engineering, and educational leadership.
Educational Leadership MEd
To accommodate those students who are unable to attend on-campus courses, McNeese State University offers its Educational Leadership MEd program fully online. The total required credits for this program are 36, and students must also complete a thesis prior to graduation. During the course of the program, students will examine such areas of educational leadership as research methods and technology for school leaders, school cultures and dispositions, ethics and school laws, managing school resources and personnel, using data to lead change, and school and community relations.

The College of Education located within Nicholls State University is comprised of three separate departments: the Department of Psychology, the Department of Teacher Education, and the Department of Graduate Studies. Students who choose to complete this program can pick from three concentrations: Educational Technology Leadership, K-12 School Leadership, or Higher Education Administration. Northwestern State University of Louisiana
eNSU Global Campus
Northwestern State University of Louisiana’s eNSU Global Campus is currently the largest online campus in the state of Louisiana. The eNSU Global Campus provides training in 40 different fields of interest and is ranked as one of the most military-friendly universities in the state. Both undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as various certifications are provided through eNSU Global Campus. Within the field of education, the campus offers training in such areas as adult learning and development, early childhood education, middle school and elementary education, and educational leadership.
Master of Education in Educational Leadership
The Master of Education in Educational Leadership degree program offered through the eNSU Global Campus is similar to Northwestern State University of Louisiana’s M.Ed. in Educational Leadership degree program. The major difference is that the program offered by the eNSU Global Campus is conducted 100 percent online. This is a 36 credit hour program that students can complete in about 18 months. The school does allow a reduction in program requirements, however, for those students who possess relevant past graduate work and/or past professional experience in the field of education.
