The College of Education
The College of Education at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania provides top-quality training in a broad range of areas related to education including student affairs, special education, early childhood education, American Sign Language, school counseling, and educational leadership. In addition to professional certificates, the college offers programs on the bachelor and master’s degree levels. All programs are taught by professionals who have extensive knowledge and experience in such professions as teachers, educational directors, superintendents, and principals.
Master of Education in Educational Leadership
Students who would like to undertake the Master of Education in Educational Leadership degree program offered by Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s College of Education can choose from four different areas of specialization: school principal certification, school counseling certification, supervisory in curriculum and instruction, or college student affairs. Requirements for completion of this program include six credits of research-related coursework, nine credits of leadership-related coursework, and 15 credits of core coursework. Various elective classes are also required for graduation but will vary depending on the student’s chosen area of specialty.

California University of Pennsylvania
The Department of Graduate Programs
California University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Graduate Programs offers nearly 100 programs in many different areas of interest including criminology, mental health counseling, early childhood education, elementary education, and educational leadership. While some of the department’s programs require various degrees of on-campus attendance, many of them are offered fully online for the convenience of students who cannot attend courses on the school’s campus for one reason or another. Programs are offered on the certificate, master’s degree, and doctoral degree levels.
Online Master of Education in Educational Leadership: Educational Studies
For applicants to be eligible for the Master of Education in Educational Leadership degree program offered by the California University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Graduate Programs, they must have earned a bachelor’s degree in teacher education from an accredited college or university. They must also have an overall grade point average of 2.8 or higher, and they are required to choose an area of educational study prior to beginning their professional programs. This program is conducted fully online and includes 30 credit hours of coursework, research, and professional fieldwork. Graduation requirements stipulate that twelve of these credits must consist of courses that are related to the student’s chosen area of educational study.

Clarion University of Pennsylvania
The School of Education
Clarion University of Pennsylvania’s School of Education consists of two distinct departments: the Department of Education and the Department of Special Education. Within the school’s Department of Education, aspiring students will find several undergraduate and graduate programs in such occupational areas as early childhood education, secondary education, middle level education, science, technology, and curriculum and instruction/teacher leadership. To accommodate the needs of working students and other students who cannot attend traditional on-campus courses, many programs offer online courses or a combination of on-campus and online instruction.
M.Ed. Education: Curriculum, Instruction, and Teacher Leadership Concentration
The Master of Education in Education degree program with a concentration in curriculum, instruction, and teacher leadership is conducted entirely online. This is a terrific program for students who work full time or who have other obligations that limit their ability to attend on-campus courses. This 30 credit hour program focuses on both curriculum and instruction as well as classroom assessments, principles of education, educational research, and educational leadership. A sample of the coursework that is required for completion of the program includes An Analysis of Teaching, Classroom Assessments for Learning, Curriculum Development of Evaluation, Educational Computer Applications, and An Introduction to Research.

Duquesne University’s School of Education has been training professionals in the field of education since the year 1929. At the current time, the school offers more than 40 top-quality educational programs on the master’s degree and doctorate degree levels. Areas of study provided by Duquesne University’s School of Education include applied behavior analysis, early childhood education, education administration, instructional technology, special education, child psychology, secondary education, school counseling, and educational leadership.
M.S.Ed. Education Administration, K-12
Persons who would like to complete Duquesne University’s Master of Science in Education in Education Administration/K-12 program must have earned a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited higher education facility. They must also have a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average and submit three professional letters of recommendation. This program is designed to prepare students for educational leadership positions on the kindergarten through 12th grade levels. Students who would like to earn this degree will need to complete a variety of courses pertaining to educational administration and leadership including Statistics in Behavioral Research, Pupil Personnel Administration, School Law, and An Orientation to School Leadership.
Ed.D. in Educational Leadership
The Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership degree program offered by Duquesne University’s School of Education is a cohort program that students typically complete in about three years. Cohorts typically begin in July of each year, and aspiring students must apply for the program no later than January of the year in which they wish to attend their first classes. Requirements of the program include completion of a dissertation, a professional portfolio, and such courses as Education and Social Justice, Educational Improvement and Accountability, Assessing Learning and Achievement, Ethics and Educational Law, and Catalyzing and Communicating Improvement Across Borders.

The Department of Professional and Secondary Education
The Department of Professional and Secondary Education located at East Stroudsburg University provides exceptional programs in education for students who are seeking certifications or degrees on either the undergraduate or graduate levels. Edinboro University
The School of Graduate Studies
Edinboro University’s School of Graduate Studies offers just over two dozen programs in ten different disciplinary areas: art, business, communications, counseling, education, nursing, psychology, social work, and speech/language pathology. Within the area of education, prospective students can choose from more than a dozen programs that lead to graduate-level degrees or certificates. Educational degrees and certificates are provided in such areas as autism spectrum disorders, early childhood education, English as a second language, special education, school psychology, and teacher leadership.
MEd in Educational Leadership
The Master of Education in Educational Leadership degree program provided by Edinboro University’s School of Graduate Studies provides students with the leadership skills and knowledge that they will need to become effective leaders in their communities.
