Master of Arts in Educational Leadership
Exclusively online via Blackboard Collaborate, UW’s Master of Arts in Educational Leadership admits cohorts of licensed teachers with at least 3.0 GPAs, 294 GRE scores, and two years of classroom experience until February 1st or September 1st each year. Chaired by Dr. David Hvidston, this 33-credit, CAEP-accredited sequence gives graduates the administrative acumen to implement school-level policies of positive change. The curriculum fulfills the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board’s certification requirements for K-12 principals. Expect intensive 5000-level online courses like School Organization and Learning Assessment that cost $271 per in-state or $811 per out-of-state credit. Each Master of Arts major must complete 11-week, 435-hour principal internships, such as Beitel Elementary, Snowy Range Academy, or Laramie High. Some continue for the EdD or PhD in Educational Leadership.
