October 2021
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of curriculum developers and instructional coordinators is expected to rise an incredible 10% through 2030. Although the Bureau credits the ever-growing need for STEM training as one of the main reasons for this faster-than-average rise, skilled and qualified educators are always needed to develop curriculum and oversee teaching standards. Of course, in order to take such a leadership role in education, one should first obtain a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction.
Because most people working in education will admit they aren’t there to get rich, it’s important for future educators to search for affordable degree programs. That’s why Top Education Degrees went on the search for the 50 most affordable master’s in curriculum and instruction. We even took our search a step further, and focused on affordable online master’s programs in curriculum and instruction.
Methodology
To come up with our ranking of the 50 most affordable master’s in curriculum and instruction, we began by compiling a list of nearly 80 colleges and universities, both non-profit and for-profit, which offer this degree online. We then researched each program to determine the estimated program cost for out-of-state students pursuing the degree online. Finally, we ranked each program from lowest to highest estimated program cost. The 50 most affordable degree programs in curriculum and instruction are detailed below, in ascending order of rank.
Please note: Any tuition numbers are courtesy of that school’s website, and may reflect the tuition for the entire cost of the degree. Fees are not included in our estimates. All tuition numbers are accurate as of September 2021.
