Accreditation for Indiana University is given by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), which is one of a handful of regional agencies that approve institutional operations at colleges and universities throughout the United States. Indiana University Application Requirements
Full admission to Indiana University as a first-year student requires that students meet several admission standards. Applicants must have a B average on their high school work, standardized test scores above the average of an average student at the university, a $35 application fee, and the application for admission. Students who are older than 21 may skip the standardized test requirement unless their chosen program requires test score submission.
Applicants will also be considered by the admissions staff at Indiana University if they have earned a GED and have achieved a score of at least 620 or have received a TASC and have earned a score of at least 669. Those who wish to enroll may also gain entry as conditional admission students if they can’t meet all full admission requirements. Each conditional admission applicant is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition and fees at Indiana University are $10,948 per year for Indiana residents and $36,512 per year for non-residents. Room and board charges add another $10,830 for all students. Direct costs add up to $21,778 for Indiana residents and $47,342 for non-residents.
