Morehead State University is a small public university in Morehead, Kentucky. This rural school has a student population of less than 10,000. It’s also part of the NCAA I, giving students an opportunity to participate in competitive campus sports if they wish to.
Additionally, almost half of Morehead students live in some sort of campus-affiliated housing, which allows them to benefit from housing services, as well as to make friends with other students.

Morehead State University gets its accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). It also has accreditation from the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
Morehead State University Application Requirements
Undergraduate students applying to Morehead will pay a $30 application fee. They must also include their transcripts from high school, as well as from any other colleges they attended before Morehead.
School application materials should also include the results of their SAT or ACT tests. The Morehead application also allows students to indicate if they would like to take part in on-campus activities, like marching band, the Kentucky Governor’s Scholar Program, honors classes, and other scholars programs. Tuition and fees for undergraduate in-state students come in at $8,750 (as of this writing). Out-of-state students will pay $13,226 per year. International students on the undergraduate level pay $23,000 per year, while graduate students will pay $13,000 per year.
Students can expect to pay around $10,000 for room and board for the year. On average, books will run just under $1,500.
