Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice at Nova Southeastern University offers Bachelor of Science, Master of Science in Education, Educational Specialist, and Doctor of Education degrees. It also offers a Minor in Education, Minor in Education Professional Training Option, and Minor in Physical Education.

The Bachelor of Science degrees include Elementary Education with ESOL and Reading endorsements, Exceptional Student Education with ESOL endorsements, Secondary Biology Education, Secondary English Education with ESOL endorsement, Secondary Math Education, and Secondary Social Studies Education. The programs require the completion of at least 120 credit hours. Most programs require an internship, seminar, and practicum experience. The education courses include: Integrating Instructional Technology in the Classroom, Survey of TESOL for Teachers, Survey of Exceptional Student Education, Educational Psychology, Principles of Instruction, Methods of Teaching Social Studies in the Elementary School, Methods of Teaching Science in Elementary School, Elementary School Classroom Management, and Introduction to Language Development and Speech Disabilities.

The Master of Science in Education degrees include Curriculum, Instruction and Technology, Educational Leadership, Elementary Education, Exceptional Student Education, Management and Administration of Educational Programs, Mathematics Education, Reading Education, Science Education, Secondary Mathematics Education, Spanish Language Education, and TESOL. The master’s degree programs require the completion of at least 36 credit hours. The master’s level courses include Theories of Learning, Curriculum and Instruction, Assessment of Learning, Technology and the School Curriculum, School Leadership, Management of Schools, Educational Research for Practitioners, Instructional and Assessment Strategies, Applied Professional Experience in Elementary Education, Behavior Management of Exceptional Students, and Educational Measurements.

The Educational Specialist degrees include Curriculum Instruction Management and Administration, Educational Leadership, and Mathematics Education. At least 30 credits are needed to complete the Educational Specialist degrees. The courses include Educational Inquiry and Electronic Research Technologies, Curriculum and Instruction: Trends and Issues, Educational Diversity and Community, Technology for Educational Leaders, Educational Budgeting and Finance, Management of Schools, and Curriculum Trends and Innovation.

The Ed.D programs require at least 54 credit hours.
